VISION
The
York Area Regional Police Department is a full service, primary response,
local law enforcement agency for those municipalities that comprise the
jurisdiction. The department strives for a position of respectability
through effective enforcement of the law, commitment to public safety,
quality of life, and community service. Members of the department
endeavor to serve all people within the community regardless of their race,
ethnicity, gender, or similar distinction. The department is also
committed to the concept of regionalized police service as an effective and
efficient means of providing police service to those municipalities who have
joined in this effort.
MISSION
The following are
considered to be the primary mission oriented activities of the department.
The department recognizes that local law enforcement is constantly asked to
perform new and unanticipated duties to meet the needs of the public.
