York County Burn Ban Lifted!

Effective today – Monday, June 26, 2023 — the York County Board of Commissioners has lifted the burn ban in place in York County.

The board reached its decision after consultation with the York County Fire Chiefs Association, who advised that recent area rain, along with additional projected rainfall and higher relative humidity created conditions conducive to removing the ban.

**REMINDER** Even though the burn ban in York County has been lifted, Dallastown Borough still has an ordinance prohibiting “open burning”.  The states firework ordinance also prohibits aerial fireworks to be ignited/used within 150′ of an occupied building or vehicle.  Please remember to use caution at all times when lighting any fireworks!
